Photographs have traditionally been taken of core trays, sample cuttings and outcrops. To date, these images have generally been captured as insurance for the future. However, they are rarely considered valuable sources of immediate data. This video illustrates the potential to extract further value from these images when they are embedded in the activities we perform as geoscientists (targeting, modeling, reviewing, etc.).
